First big outing for the LIKE200i

After 4+ years of ownership. ..I  finally  took my LIKE200i  to my coffee village. Always used the Forza or the Burgman for these trips.
The issue for me has always been the posted speeds on all of the possible  routes (55 - 70 mph), not the distance. I enjoy riding  this scooter ...but not at or near WOT. Posted speeds are mistaken for "minimum permissible speeds" by Americans. ....
Thinking it over, I  figured a Sunday before-sunrise ride might be my
best shot at staying out of trouble at 40-45 mph.
Made it here OK...using well known roads with the barely adequate LIKE light. Will wave 'em around on the ride home.

You're a brave soul but something I would do and did regularly with my S200. When a faster vehicle approached I rode the shoulder. Bridges were interesting as I tried to time my approach by slowing down and then falling back in and riding tail on the traffic. When I read about folks riding long distances like the mate on P90 Adventures who rode from Argentina to Alaska on a Honda Cub 90, I realize that small scoots can go darn near anywhere we're brave enough to venture to.

Not sure what the top speed of the Like is, but my old Yager could run well at 60 - 65. If you're in the right lane you should be fine unless it's the heart of rush hour traffic.

Lately, I've been allowing my emotions to get the best of me. When I've been commuting to work on a posted 45 highway with the flow of traffic doing 60, I'm always tailgated by someone wanting to go twice the speed. I speed up to 65, and then they decided that's not good enough they move to pass me. I know I shouldn't but I just speed up to 70 +. When the realize they can't pass a scooter, they drop back, generally at a polite following distance.

I know. I shouldn't. But sometimes I can't help myself.

So long as it is not late in the afternoon, the cagers are generally calm. Stay out of their way for the afternoon ride home. Throw chunks of meat if they get restless.

I have them ride up on my SW with them expecting moped type performance. They rarely follow in pursuit when I'm pulling away at the upper double digits.
