Kind of weird
« on: November 22, 2016, 11:02:32 AM »
Still getting up at 5:00am, but feels weird .....this is the first winter in a few years that I won't be  sitting geared up, warming up my LIKE200i  for a commute to work.
A little silly to go poking around town before sunrise at 22°F for no reason now.
So will wait a couple hrs for daylight and maybe 30°F before checking in with the folks at Tim Horton's.
This 4 yr old LIKE200i fires quickly on even near 0°F mornings. (+3°F is coldest I've  ridden  it)

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Ride carefully. This is my second day of commuting in near freezing weather. I may keep the bike in during the Thanksgiving Holiday(s), and if possible do a needed oil change and trickle charge for the battery.

I love Fall and Winter, but so some days aren't meant for riding.

3 degrees, WOW, that's cold. My coldest ride was 16 degrees, but that was when I was young and crazy, but now I'm not young anymore. The moisture in my nose and the tears coming from my eyes froze on my face, and I was wearing a full face shield. I had to pull over and put my hands behind the exhaust pipes and then put both gloves over them to get my fingers limbered up enough to pull the clutch in. Both my feet were numb from using them as outriggers in the snow and ice on the road., Never again. I still ride on cool days, but it's gotta be dry and above 32......3 degrees my, my, you're tough dude...........
