Nice and shiny. Why did you have it apart? Any problems with the plastic tabs? They make me nervous when I encounter them. I feel like they will snap.

 One of the bolts broke for the air box mount. I Drilled the bolt and tried an easy out extractor. The easy out broke off inside the bolt. I could not get a good center in the hole to drill it again. My solution was to remove the rear wheel and drill out the bolt from the back side. Retapped the hole. Actually, the new threads were not very deep, due to damage from my drilling from the front. I installed a longer bolt and added a lock nut to the inside. Double security with lock tite.

But, for Pete's Sake.....this is a family forum - put some pants on that scooter!!

PS: How do you like your City Grips - this summer will probably replace my rear C.G. with @12,000 miles on it. Front still looks good.

Notice the cover is raised on the other scooter. I needed to look at it to see how things go back together. I needed to check the tire hugger set up before reinstalling.

Steve, the bolt for the airbox mount broke ?
Or was it over-tightened, or found to be seized upon removal?

I have found some screws and nuts on scooters and motorcycles which are so darn tight that I'm concerned about breaking the tool (allen wrench for ex.) or shearing off the hardware trying to loosen them for the 1st time.

I never use a torque wrench on smaller nuts. Have more trust my bare hands than a less-than-expensive, not freq. re-calibrated torque wrench.

 After a long ride after Christmas, I found the bolt broken off. The air box was bouncing around on one bolt and broke the front mount. I repaired the plastic air box with some epoxy. So far it is holding up. The tire hugger brackets were broken as well from the long rough ride. The Like ran for hours on rough roads at high speeds. I cruised 90 miles to Ventura on that very windy day.
 I took the tire hugger mounts from the back up Like. I will order new ones after I see if the air box repairs hold up. I can combine shipping that way.
