I am going to step up 1 size in width and sidewall height on my People 250 for three reasons.
There are potholes in our roads, a larger tire will provide a little more cushion, and I am a heavier rider.
I do believe this will mean increasing from a 110/70 to a 120/80 front tire, which is commonly available.
Keep in mind, the manufacturer's engineers design the unit for optimal handling and sell it for best handling and performance.
There is always some sort of trade-off when making changes.
