Hi I got the first part of the back brake off but how do I now pull those pads out?  Also any suggestions on cleaning it?  I did take a wired brush to some of it.

I may have to do as the book says and remove the dang muffler.  There is no way I can get a tool in there to remove that left bolt especially. :P

IMO, brakes on a machine are among those things you should have an experienced person oversee, for your learning experience.

The brake pads will need to be pryed out ,  I take the calipers off , to clean every thing,.  so the lower two bolts in the picture off,.   then lift off,  the disc,.  turn it around to see the other side you will see how it is held in there,

Yeah I got all the way until it was time to actually pry the pads out. I just wanted to have a real good look at the wear and for the practice of doing this! :)
