I think this may be a 50cc K-Pipe.  On the 125's the CDI is located under the seat at the rear of the bike.  Very often 50cc bikes and scooters have means of restricting their top speed, sometimes with CDI's with rev limiters, sometimes with washers welded into the head pipe to restrict exhaust flow.

I don't believe the U. S. spec 125's DC CDI is restricted.  I've experimented with several DC "racing" versions that were supposedly unrestricted and noticed no difference.  They're very inexpensive if you'd like to experiment with them yourself and the biggest problem is that they're usually larger than the DC CDI that came in it.  One I experimented with, a Casoli unit, was a three wire unit that required me to tap into the power wire for the DC CDI and at least for testing zip tie it to the passenger peg/muffler hanger as it's huge finned aluminum box wouldn't fit under the seat.  Again I noticed no difference.

As I mentioned on the "2016 K-Pipe 125 Owner" thread there are a bunch of AC performance CDI's out there intended for XR/CRF-50's so make sure any you buy are DC units.  The U. S. spec K-Pipe uses switched DC power from the battery to power it's CDI whereas the AC units, usually used on dirt bikes without batteries, use power directly from the stator.   For this reason any time the engine isn't running make sure you turn off the key switch as leaving it on might not be good for the CDI.

Alright, I wasn't sure if we had the same CDI location or not and if anyone had seen this yet.
