GV 250 oil screen position?
« on: May 22, 2017, 02:25:52 AM »
I forgot how the oil screen goes back in my '09 GV 250. On top of the spring? With the screen facing down or up? It seems to want to go with the screen up into the body of the engine and the gasket side down with the spring pushing it up...but I would appreciate expert advice to tell me the correct way to install it. I assume the round side of the spring faces down.

The screen goes in with the open side UP toward the engine case.  The smaller end of the spring goes into the bolt/drain cap and the screen fits into the larger end of the spring. Just like in this drawing.
