2t getting worse as i make "improvements"
« on: September 02, 2017, 03:07:48 AM »
2014 2t, 400 miles, malossi bbk, technigas pipe, 19mm ebay keihin, malossi variator, 5g rollers, white contra spring, blue clutch springs, new belt. Still sorting out jetting but the big problem is it feels like the clutch never really engages. Leary to even check speed now because it revs well but doesn't accelerate. Any ideas?

Check the belt width to make sure it is within spec.

Hmmm.
Do the other aftermarket clutch parts require a change from the stock
belt? Kymco uses top quality belts...certainly not worn out after 400 miles.
Can be hard to tell if new belt is the exact size of the original belt...so, if it can be used with your other new parts, I'd put it back on and try running again.
Has a lubricant gotten to the clutch pads,  or pulleys, or belt?

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

I bought the scooter with 350 miles. When i took the side cover off there was alot of belt debris inside the cover. I have purchased all parts from scooterparts.com and i will check the malossi belt i put on.
