I'm glad to hear that weather reporters are liars across the globe.

Luckily, the ol' DT seems pretty good at resisting the worst of the weather - as long as you keep moving though (although I think Plod might not be too accepting of 'I need to keep moving to stay dry' as an excuse for running through that red light)

Yesterday, despite the tv saying that there should be a minimal chance of rain, all through the day we had really heavy showers and, of course, I got caught in one on the way home.

But with feet tucked in, knees together and slightly hunched behind the screen I stayed remarkably dry on the 10 mile ride home - even when the rain was literally bouncing of the road. The only bit that was damp-ish was the bottom of my trouser legs. I really must trade in those flares for something more modern.

At one time the 74 was suspended by heavy rope from the open beam ceiling in a gambrel cabin.
That created a real tourist draw...

I spoke to my pup and told her that Lassie would run out to our truck with the keys, hop in, start the A/C and drive it back to where we were sheltering in the storm....


She said, "Who's Lassie?"

I carpeted the garage with used kitchen carpets - comfy work surface, especially in the winter.
Last month Mrs. Stig caught me dozing next to the Burgman and a pan of used oil.

Last time i spilled an oil change was....actually I can't recall.
Daughter is hoping for continued storms - this evening is another soccer "conditioning day" --- which means they're running to Cleveland and back, again. I sometimes sit in the truck, reading and snacking with the A/C on...and admit that watching them often makes me tired.
