Headlight bulb removal
« on: September 30, 2017, 05:49:39 PM »
Ok guys, another question.  The manual isn’t real clear on how to get the bulb out on a 2004.  I’ve removed the Phillips screw at the 5 o’clock position (leaving the adjusting screw in the front left in) and removed both mounting bolts for the shell and still can’t get in to replace the bulb. Any ideas?

So when I removed mine the other day, I only needed to remove the screw that is located at the 5 O'Clock position and then rotated the chrome outer ring both to the right and the left while pulling, and the whole ring and inside "guts" came right out. Getting everything back together was the actual challenge. It took me several attempts to get everything back together. I Hope this helps, and sorry nobody responded sooner.

Thanks Ron,

Finally got it off and yeah its a snakes nest of wires in there.  I've got to find the wiring for the headlamp since now the headlight doesn't even come on.  Should be fun!!

OhmsLaw43,

No problem, glad I could help. Good luck and let me know if I can help in any other way.
