I have a Shad45, and the mounting  plate required minimal "adjustment". I did have to get two long bolts and a bunch of spacers to replace the stock bolts that secure the hand rail at the rear.

I bought a shad kit years ago, and it came with the bolts, box, rack etc. It says to take out or loosen the luggage rack/passenger grab rail in the instructions? No need to do this. 10-20 minute job at best.  :-*

I made my own from 3/4" plywood! If you go to the Downtown 300 section, to the "What have you done to your DT" thread, the last page (44) has my method of construction.

It was easy and I saved $100+.
