My LIKE200iLX seat was killing my tailbone after 40 mins.
So, I bought a used seat from a LIKE50 on eBay for $30 - and set about building myself a good seat.
After a disastrous experience rebuilding my seat using the wrong foam and wrong vinyl (from a fabric store) - I spent some time researching the subject.
I then used purpose-made Sailrite 4-Way Stretch Vinyl and purpose-made foams - found on the web. (Sailrite has a youtube on covering a mototcycle seat)
Use what you want - but the foam and vinyl that I used are made specifically for the job at hand. I worked on my new seat for 3 days, off & on - with many test rides. It is goofy looking and very comfortable.
Today I can report that the seat still feels great & still looks new after 5 seasons of cold winters and hot summers. Neither the feel of the foam nor the vinyl cover show any signs of wear.
