Great pictures! Simple, inexpensive mod! Well done!
Thanks, Karl! I think this is a mod that most touring riders and commuters should do. It's cheap, it really cuts down on grip fatigue, and it just makes the grab factor a lot better.
Please keep us informed on how long they last for before needing replacing.
Paul: They're nitrile rubber foam, so degradation isn't likely going to be a problem. At least, they haven't ever been for me. I had a set similar to these on my old Honda PCX for a little over 3 years with no trouble. So I'd say worrying about them falling apart or not being durable isn't something I'm going to lose a whit of sleep over...
They only cost me about $10 each. Oddly enough, I could only find them sold singly, and not as pairs. I'm more worried about finding the forward turn signals than I am these things causing problems.
Also, my bullet turn signals with the red LEDs came in today. I'm planning on hooking them up as additional brake lights, so we'll see how that mod goes when I get to it.

They're smaller than the pumpkins that are the rear turn signals, so they won't stick out as far or be as obvious. Once I find a set of forward LED turn signals that actually have LEDs and wiring in them (the US version has nothing in it) then I'll take bits apart and put all the aux lighting on Diana.
