Would I be mad to buy another whole Like as parts for the one I have?
A Like 125 has come up, in the same colour as my Like 200.
Unfortunately it's carburetted, but I can see there's real spares potential.
The bike is £300 delivered.
Quick costings;
~ I get a set of wheels - worth £60 to me I reckon
~ If there's one good tyre that's £30 I don't have to spend on the next one. Michelin on the front.
~ Forks are worth £60 to me to have as spares!
~ Pair of brake levers are worth £30 to me
~ I strongly suspect I'll be needing a pair of new brake callipers for my 200 - worth another £50 probably.
~ The exhaust is no good to me - it's worth £80 on eBay though to someone else! So I can deduct that
~ Carburettor is useless to me - but again, £30 on eBay
So £230's worth of parts off it are good for me to keep, and I reckon I can get £110 back on eBay at the least.
So £340 of the bike is accounted for before I start even delving into the engine, brackets, body panels, lights, mirrors etc.
Before I go and try to rationalise this decision to my other half, can anyone confirm for me that this isn't crazy logic?
