Ianmac,

I just found this thread.  I just purchased a 2016 Super8 50x.  I purchased a few racing and unrestricted CDI's and they all made my scooter run worse.

It appears I have the same CDI.  Which specific wire did you cut as I also have two wires that are purple/pink combination.  Did you just cut one wire or two?

Thanks for your help.....

don't cut the wire just slip it out of the harness and cover it with electrical tape.
It was the purple one.

I have the the 2015 version and the issue is that it is a 4 stroke.  2 strokes have way more power.

There is a washer in the manifold that can be removed as well.  It will allow more fuel to pass.

The only other option for more speed and a 70cc upgrade kit and new rear gear.

Hope this helps.  I am about to do the 70cc kit on mine.
