moparkid, I'm glad that you're mostly okay. Skin and pulled muscles heal. I've never taken the safety course. Could this course help me at my age (60)?

Yes sir! Best investment in motorcycle safety I ever made. Rode for many years not knowing there was so much I didn't know about riding. And after the course felt so much better about riding. You can't go wrong with it!
Thanks to everyone for your comments and insights. Wife and I have come to a mutual agreement.....I can continue riding as long as I feel safe and she says it's ok. If she feels my judgement and reflexes aren't up to her "snuff" then it's over. And I had to increase the value of my life insurance policy. Small price to pay to keep her happy.
And Charlie, I am gonna try one more time to get something for my DT300 but with over 36,000 miles on it and now it being skinned up from the road rash I have my doubts. Maybe you and I can talk and reach a deal. We'll see!
