My first tipover
« on: July 15, 2018, 07:34:25 PM »
Using the UXV450i as a log skidder, I fat footed the brake with a little or more like a lot of gas. Right rear wheel climbed up on a 2 foot tall boulder, bouncing into the air, and landing on my side

what did I learn besides being more careful backing up ?  the 450i doesn't have a tipover switch, it was still idling, I shut it off with the key

absolutely zero damage, flipped it back upright and continued on skidding logs

ya, I was helping a buddy with his firewood, and he was carefully guiding me thru the maze of boulders as I backed.  He said of, stop, I gassed in instead, happens fast..  he was standing right there when it happened and actually grabbed my roll cage to slow the tipover making it somewhat more gentile. EVERYTHING fell out, including the seat and all the tools under the seat as well as everything in he bed, even my pole saw came out unscathed

notice it flipped to the downhill side, and still was easy for the 2 of us to upright

I try not to go in woods alone, never when I'm doing this type of work, sometimes mt land surveying duties have me walking/hiking  solo into the back country, when solo, I always have my https://www.findmespot.com/en/ GPS tracking device with me, and I know it works, used it hunting one time pushed the wrong button (not the life threatening only SOS button) and my employees were there a half mile into the wood, within 20 minutes
