Silly question about oil change / oil level
« on: June 01, 2018, 11:17:17 AM »
Just read in the manual to check the oil by NOT threading the dipstick into the engine.  Is this correct?  If so, I have been checking incorrectly ... is this true of all scooters?  I always screw the dip back in.

Thanks

Not true of all scooters , but is true of your scooter and my Kymco LIKE200i.
Don't screw it in.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Yeah first time I checked my new Like 150i’s oil I did the same thing, screwed it in like my last couple scooters did.  Then I read the owners manual And freaked out it was underfilled (turned out not by enough to worry about). I find it odd but whatever I know what to do now
