Yeah, I think they saw "I'm trying to connect the turn signals in my scooter" and stopped reading. If they'd only looked two sentences later, they'd have seen "and I need a particular electrical connector commonly found in RC aircraft"... Their loss. I can be a great addition to a cookout, what with my mastery of the grill, and all the homemade cheese and wine I could have brought. Oh well...

And I love that jacket. If I'd have seen that before I obtained the one I have, I'd have gotten it!  Three cheers for Vetco!

Hey ET,
Somehow I missed this thread. Yesterday I had the underseat storage out and was likewise disappointed. Now I read your post and have hope again.

I'm eagerly waiting to see if you get this going as you have already done so much research.
And thanks for posting as you go along!!!!!!!!

Uncle Jed:
Thank you. As has been said by other posters here, this is a place for folks to share information.
I don't want to make promises I can't keep, but I fully intend to make a step-by-step tutorial post on how to make the modification from the pumpkin-stalks to the OEM-inbody signals in the rear. That way, nobody else will have to go through what I have, and can do it reasonably easy. There is absolutely NO reason whatsoever, except for pigheaded selfishness, that anyone should keep basic information like this to themselves. I only wish someone else had done it before me.

I'm not so sure about doing a detailed tutorial for the front, as I honestly think people could just swap out OEM replacement signal housings with the existing ones, but I'll probably do one for the front too.

Thank you for the kind compliment.

JK Electronics is my local go-to shop for stuff like this, they have zillions of connectors and are very helpful: http://www.jkelectronics.com/

They arrived!

The connectors from Vetco Electronics came in the mail today.

Jeeze Louise these things are tiny!!!

In any case, I am going to attempt the conversion on Wednesday, as I am off work all that day.

It may take me a while to write up and post the conversion tutorial, but I will do it, if I can remember to take adequate photos.

I'll also reference the Service Manual where necessary.

Yay!!!

Guys, you should be able to click on the photo and it will open in a larger format. If you get a "file not found" or other error, let me know and I'll go into my photo-host and change the settings so they'll open.

To save bandwidth on the forum I've been posting thumbnails. If you really want me to, I can put these puppies up full size.

Like this:

Oh, and I didn't do anything at all to Diana yesterday. We went back to work, and I had a lot to do. There was a threat of rain, and my lovely spouse made me take her to work so I could have the car. And wouldn't you know it, not a damn drop.

I'm going to be working on the baby today, and I'll keep you all in the loop.

Good to hear from you. Yes, I'm getting no file when I click the thumbnails.
No big deal at the moment, but I figure I'd say something now before you get into the details where I really want to see :)
Saw your other post about the screw driver.
Sorry about the no ride/no rain day. Had a few of those myself.

I did it. It works.

I'm extremely tired, as I got up early to replace an electrical plug outlet in the garage so I could hook up another light, and that turned into a four-hour job. Had to go to Lowe's three times to get extra crap I needed to fix one ^%$#!& little plug outlet.

I'm going to write up an illustrated tutorial for connection of the rear LED turn signals tomorrow. So you're going to have to wait one more day...

That's great. Just hearing any progress is great. I can wait. Anticipation is what kills me while waiting!!!!!!!

Thanks again.....
