5 yrs of Changes made to my LIKE200iLX
« on: October 09, 2018, 06:44:04 PM »
Purchased April 2013
After 3 months I added longer mirrors (safety) , badges, and crash bars (looks)

Over the past 5 years:
1)  rebuilt the seat (to remove seat-pan ridge & extend my riding time)
2)  added lighted 929 Bestem top case for the extra safety on my night rides
3)  14gm Dr Pulley sliders for ??
4)  NGK Iridium spark plug for smoother/stronger idle sitting in traffic
5)  Philips MotoVision headlight bulb ("unique orange tint")(?)
6)  amber front LED running lights (brighter)
7)  Michelin tires (better)
8 )  larger YTZ14S YUASA battery into enlarged battery box (trusted below freezing starts away from home)
9)  treated with ACF-50 (corrosion preventer)

14,000 miles with this scooter - the TPS failed and was replaced under warranty 4 yrs ago. No other parts have failed. Brake fluid, oils changed on sched.
Airfilter doesn't get dirty - orig. brake pads look good.

I ride it for coffee year around @3 times each week.
This scooter's ease of servicing is very important to me!
Good scooter.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Regarding the LIKE's seat : Shorter riders will likely have no problem with the stock seat.
At 6'3"+, the ridge in the seat pan was a killer for me.

I added height and width to the seat and then recovered it in SailRite vinyl (see their youtube re-covering a motorcycle seat video)
