CVT shafts - Oil Seal removal tool
« on: October 31, 2018, 02:04:49 AM »

Another fellow drills & taps a screw into the seal, then pulls the screw out with pliers.

An Indian fellow just digs the old seal out with a screwdriver. !!

The puller tool seen in the video seems like a good idea.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

It was great. I have heard of this tool but have never seen one. The vid showing removal and re installation was great. Even a numchuck like myself should be able to do that. With the proper tool, of course.

Lisle 58430 Shaft Type Seal Puller

Your post aroused my curiosity. I did an online search and discovered that Lisle also makes a Cork Screw seal removal tool.
The average price of these tools was $8-$20 US. Not bad.
