Used my dealer for parts and service manual
« on: February 20, 2019, 10:38:50 PM »
My selling dealer has interest in Kymco. 35 Freeway miles away.

I screwed up throttle/grip barrel trying to get my NEP cruise control to work.  Ordered new one, $11.00, at same time order Service/shop manual.  Partsman worked to get it.  Kymco like the Japanese rely on outside vender in MI I believe--he took several calls to get vender to print as there had been no call for 2019 Xtown 300i, yet.   Manual cost me $39, much cheaper than the Japanese.

Manual nice to have--sometimes seeing a picture saves you from screwing up.  Took about 3 business days to get stuff.  I think  prices fair.    Put throttle barrel on, slid my foam grip cover over and will use my Go Cruise (from Aerostich)  when I need throttle held....like wiping nose.

Givi E-46 box now bolted on, using Givi plate, but the rack they furnished was no-go.  Real life box bolted on better anyway---as nothing moving around/shaking back there is good idea.   Givi boxes are very expensive, maybe over priced, but I have had this one since 1998 and it has held together for over 600,000 miles and still going strong.

I have taken Puig Touring screen off, stock back on, Laminar Lip arrived today, work on that in AM.   My goal quiet/no buffeting air behind shield....maybe this will work?
