Kymco down
« on: April 16, 2019, 02:15:21 PM »
While on duty yesterday, I was dispatched to an accident involving a motorcycle.   When I hear “motorcycle “ I tend to be a little bit more anxious getting there.
I arrived and saw an older man laying in the street.  Luckily he had pedestrians around him aiding him already.

Long story short and thank God, the gentleman is fine.   A little road rashed but he’s okay.  The vehicle in front of him decided to pull a Uturn in the middle of the road and the Kymco Exciting 250 t boned him.    The gentleman decided to lay the 250 down and slide into the car before impact.

“Try” and always be mindful of your surroundings.    Be safe everyone.

Bikes should never be layed down to avoid accident----bike up right full braking at allows you to hit it at slowest possible speed.  Also pays to pay attention.

Agreed but in this situation, the car had just made it over the incline and the bike came over that incline as the car made the Uturn.

Glad he's just a bit scuffed.

Hopefully the car driver's insurance will pay for damages to him & the bike, but I don't think I'll hold my breath.

Wasn’t too bad but nevertheless.
