At 3500 miles I find rear Kenda on my XTown 300i----wearing a lot and wearing square---which affects handling and actually affect cornering with what amounts to lesser contact patch.
Wear bars will soon show up. I have had good luck with Kenda in the past on various bikes----but will not replace with Kenda. Best for me in past, Michelin Power Pure SC----these wear round for their entire life, price ok, $50 and up. Got 11,000 miles out of Power Pure rear on Burgman 400----on return trip from AK/BC, just kept on riding and tire safely made it home----stopping/shopping for tires on trip can be pain.....and of course dealers never have scooter tires in stock-----Harley with plenty of dealers always has in stock tires for what they sell.
Also used Power Pure SC on Honda SilverWings for over 90,000 miles, with no trouble
And to think scooters used to come with spare tires!! And for the most part wheels were easy to get off.
Long trips/rides I like to leave with fresh tires. Front Kenda wearing fine---although I like to replace tires in matched pairs, I think Michelin rear/Kenda Front will work ok.
