Where do I connect this red wire?
« on: July 15, 2019, 04:56:08 PM »
I was inspecting my solenoid and battery a couple months ago and hadn't gotten back to putting it back together until today.   I have completely forgotten where this red wire goes to.  It's too short to go to the positive terminal of the battery.  My guess is it goes onto the positive terminal of the solenoid.   Is that correct?

That is the main wire to the machine's electrical system. Goes on the start relay/solenoid terminal that goes directly to the battery, usually a fat, red wire.

Sounds right. A standard solenoid (without relay attached to the solenoid) usually have three wires:

1. One thick (+) wire coming from the Battery
2. One thick wire going directly to the Starter Motor.
3. One thin wire coming from the starter switch Button.

The Solenoid at the picture doesn't seem to have a relay attached to it, so the wiring should be as indicated above.
