Have you checked the relays? They are located behind the windshield cover. There could be a bad or loose connection.
There are also fuses above the battery, they could be blown or loose as well.
mousejunks is correct, towed my downtown to a mechanic, and turns out the fuse blew. We are guessing some connections were connected loosely causing arch faults and hence the fuse blew. When I connected the charged battery back to the bike, I didn't connect the battery tender wire but just let it dangling with a zip tie on another cable and that probably is the cause of the arching. Stupid me, I wonder if even securely connecting just the positive to the battery would avoid this from happening cause when I bought the bike, the battery tender wire was already connected to the battery with the positive side only, and negative dangling, and there's no problem for over a year until now.
Anyhow, now we completely removed that battery tender wire and that should solve the problem of arching. I charge the battery separately completely removing the battery off the bike anyway so I don't need that wire anyway. Hope my experience would help some who face similar problems in the future.
