..these aluminum casings will not withstand ANY hard torque...


..always tighten your cvt cover fasteners by hand..

..even a 3/8" air ratchet will over-torque and strip out threads...

..been there...

Yep,

And it ends up being a blood bond - especially when I bash my knuckles on something while trying to get something loose.

Didn't get to open up the cvt this weekend. 

Shame, the weather was perfect, but had family in town so spent the weekend with them.

Need to get the variator tuned....
