Does the 150 engine on the Super 8 swap out with the 50cc engine model of the Super 8?
No, absolutely not.  These 2 machines may look similar, but underneath they are totally different. There is nothing that can be swapped.

I read that the Agility R16 50i had some problems with top speed and acceleration because of the change from 16 wheel size to 14 wheel size. That was on the 50i version.

I am looking for the R16 50 2T version. That one also has 14 inch rear wheel. Is the problem the same on the 2T? Or is it normal with quick acceleration and 70kmh top speed easily?

The 50i with the "wrong transmission" was loosing it at 43kmh which is a very dangerous speed on a boulevard.

That was an amazing video of that new 50cc Piaggio Liberty.
Yeah - you don't buy a 50 if you live in hill country!
Probably just fine in congested inner cities. Half those old Fiats can't climb a steep street any faster than this scooter.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Today the Agility City plus R16 50 2T arived in the shop.

I went for a test ride, on the restricted version. It went 30kmh on a hill, and 50kmh on flat. During the test it was not loud at all, and the RPM seem very controlled. I think the engine has a lot more to give.

The bike comes with a smooth boss and a bigger jet. What should I expect from the derestricted version? What speeds and acceleration improvement will I get with those two installed?

There is a blue and a gray version. I like both of them, but I am leaning towards the gray, because it seems a bit more grown up (??? Or not...)

You know, if you spend just a little more $ and buy a bigger scooter......you can just ride it and not have to figure out how to make it go faster incrementally. ......
So many here struggle to make a 50 go faster - and are not always happy with the results.

This makes sense if you ignore everything the OP wrote about why they want a 50cc 2T scooter.  There are a lot more costs and licensing requirements that go into getting one one the road in a lot of countries than just the price of the scooter. In Ohio, like in California, you need the same Motorcycle license for a 50cc scooter as you do for a Hayabusa. You can get your license on a Vino 50, and then go buy that Gold Wing as your first bike. So it makes no sense to buy a 50 in States like Ohio or California.  In a lot of places, the rules are different.  Think about how much better the scooter scene would be in the US if a State like California had a moped law like most of the Eastern States.

As far as restrictions, Kymco usually does the boss and the CDI. in any country where they sell them, the guys who sell them know how to derestrict them completely. It's part of the job.

Another decent scooter to check out is the Keeway Goccia, if they have it there. I liked it a lot more than the Agility 50.
