Was it running when you bought it?

I don't know if this will be of help, but if you just got it and it's been sitting for a while as the PO said, how do you know if the battery is "full"? If it's the battery that came with the bike that would be the first suspect. Even if you charge the battery, it could be so fried that it won't hold a charge at all. Do you have a multimeter?

Hey Hundacobra
Where are you located?
I am in Ottawa and I am new to scooters but very old to motorbikes.
If you are in range I am willing to come over and have a beer and watch you get frustrated.  ;)

I'd start with a new battery. Get it to turn over.
Then you'll have to deal with effects of old gas.....and maybe the crash.

hello everyone !!!!!!!!!!!!!! so glade to see so many replies ! i do own a muti meter and ive been probing around ;) i think i have couple suspects besides the battery like the ignition switch or the relay .and i live in columbus in. all is welcome to come watch me get raged at this lol but ive done a couple of test but even if it had 9 volts on the battery it should still light up something right ?but nothing happens thats why im thinking its a ignition switch cause thats the start of the power ? the relay is to start it and the fuses are fine .so as far as i know that would be it .but i do have another battery i could hook up but its way bigger its for a power chair . its 12 volts and like 35ah so it shouldnt fry anything right ? once again thanks again for the replies and hope to hear from you guys again soon !hope to get it running and take some pics and vids for the group !

As long as it is 12 volt, no problem. Should crank a small engine for a whole day or to when the starter catches fire!

You can use any 12 volt battery to try and start it.  Make sure it is 12 volts though and only to see if it turn over.

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!! it turns over ! the starter is good but when i go to continuously have it turn over the start gear i think is pushing to for cause you will here is spin but the engine stops .so you have to stop pressing the button then press it again for it to engage . so im wondering if the battery i have in it is to strong or im missing a shim or a stop for the gear ? thanks again guys !
