When my newish LIKE went down for 5 mos!

Back in 2014 my year old LIKE200iLX developed a failed TPS (throttle position sensor) and was in & out of the shop for 5 months. Finally I just refused to bring it home until they were able to repeat the problem I was having with it. In the end -  crossbolts and the USA Kymco customer service rep (and possibly my youtube video) persuaded my dealer to replace the Throttle Body - which fixed the issue.

In the mean time - I'd discovered that I loved scooter riding so much - I purchased a nice new Honda Forza NSS300. This is the day they finally met in my driveway, when the LIKE was brought home!

Now I might be an old guy and have been successfully accused of remembering things wrong BUT it was the throttle body they replaced that had all three sensors (TPS, ISC & MAP) in it. The ECU is the little brain in a jar somewhere else, right? Regardless, your story is the poster for dealer/tech performance! Or the lack of it! Har, har! That Like has been very good to you over the years and is the poster child for reliability.

Your memory is fine - it's mine that failed. Haven't had supper yet. Blame it on that....
