General feedback needed...
« on: November 23, 2019, 12:14:42 AM »
I have posted for feedback on kymcousa with no reply, and I also left a Facebook message for them, all to no avail.

I am thinking of purchasing a 50cc Kymco - either an Agility.or a Like. At the moment I have a Tgb Delivery with a 150 litre cargo box. I am looking for a bike that can support a large cargo box. From what I have read it appears that Kymco can supply a 125 litre cargo box - which appears to be the biggest size they make. I just wanted to know if a box that size can be used with the 50cc model safely.

I would prefer to buy the Like, but I am not sure if the cargo box will only fit on the Agility - I think it is known as the Agility Carry with the box fitted.

Does anybody know, or can they tell me where I can find out these details. My bike has been good, but it has now seen better days.

Thanks,

Steve

Honestly if you've been using a TGB 2 stroke 50 for delivery I don't think you'd like either of those bikes since they're 4 stroke, & have about half to 2/3rds the power of your TGB.

Far as safety goes I've always found the 4t 50's to be real marginal for any kind of zip taht you may need to get out of the way of traffic.

Beyond that you could check the specs and see if the weight figures work out.  Lance (SYM) does make a more integrated delivery 50cc as well, but you're still up against 4t vs. 2t power.

Agreed. Many who buy a 50cc 4-stroke are very disappointed with the speed of the scooter.
Also, many are disappointed with the speed of a 50cc 2-stroke....but they can be modified for a few more MPH. While a very determined owner can get a good deal more MPH !

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

I have to admit, I was interested in the Lance 50 Delivery. But unfortunately it has been discontinued. So I am still looking for something suitable.

Odd it still shows as current on their site.

I always figgered that if going that route the hot setup would be to nab a larger motor'd PCH and order their big box & put it on that.

I was almost sold on this idea, but I just found out those top boxes are made from fibre glass. That is not going to be sturdy enough for my needs. So I was thinking another tgb or pierspeed. They seem to have been discontinued too. Deadend.

Looks alive on the TGB site.  http://www.tgbscooters.us/express-50.html

Failing that though they're around used or you could rebuild the one you have unless it's totally shot.
Basic 2T motors ain't that complex, & maybe bump it up a bit more more torque if not more top end.
