using down time to install new sliders & headlight in LIKE200i

Nice and brisk in the garage these winter days - good time to do a cold engine valve check - and have ordered a new set of Dr Pulley sliders and slide pieces for that service day.

I use 18x14x14g weights. I found that the 13g weights raise my cruising RPM's too much over stock for my liking. I never run my LIKE200i WOT and never seek max speed, or test for MPG's - so other than the cruising RPM's, I've no idea about performance between the two weights. The sliders just give me years of smooth performance. (never a problem with them flipping - which is due to an installation error IMHO)

I have no plans to use Dr P's in my 155cc Piaggio - I like everything about its stock over-the-road performance just fine.



And, since bulbs dim over time - will probably put in a new headlight bulb that day - once I warm the plastic!

As you can see - this would also be a good time to refresh the brake fluid....

That CVT case looks new! I accuse you of trailering that bike to all the places you take pictures!

Your comment reminds me of the time, years ago, when I lost a sale when selling my '77 Rabbit.
Had the sale all made, then the buyer's wife showed up that evening - took one look at my clean engine bay - pulled her husband aside and nixed the deal.
"He's had the engine steam cleaned - must be something very wrong with the engine!"

This car was my first water-cooled vehicle of any kind, and I enjoyed looking at the engine bay - and found it easy to keep the alloy block clean, rubber & plastics Armor All-ed, and paint waxed.  That's somewhat harder to do with Beetles and Buses....though they were kept pretty clean as well.

Anyway - it was that young fellow's loss.
I like the finish on the metal parts of the Kymco and the Piaggio - easy to keep clean. Unlike the new Suzuki Bugman which seemed to be dissolving before my eyes from corrosion.
