2019 uxv 700 i stalls and is hard to start

I have recently purchased a uxv 700 I le prime and after riding for a while it will die when you come to a stop and is very hard to get restarted. Up until it seems to be getting warmed up it will start just fine but after riding for a while and stopping and or trying to turn around it will stall and it is extremely hard to restart.

Ok, so if that is the case, then where does this tank vent at ?

Well, I am assuming it has a vacuum operated vent valve like the scoots and that valve sticking shut would produce symptoms like you describe. I could be all wet but it is so common across brands and models. Plus, it's one of my favorite "harps!"

Could be something else but it is the easiest to do at first!

While out on the trail I did pull the fuel line off at the tank / pump connection and it did start so ten the vapor locking could be the problem. This unit has a vacuum line coming off of the filler neck, think it would be ok to vent that straight to the atmosphere and maybe put a one way valve at the end of that line ?

Option 1: Leave the "plumbing" as is and vent the cap.
Option 2: Pull the hose off the fill neck and plug the hose. Then put a small filter on the open fill neck with a section of original hose or new hose.

Which ever option is easiest.

You might find you have a good dealer like I have. Mine is 2 hrs away from from all I have heard from I would not hesitate to try them out.  Most dealers have a diagnostic fee to sort out a problem and if they dont find a problem there is a smaller fee. My atv and my car mechanic both do it that way.  Not all dealers are rip offs.

Yes, by all means, try the dealer! You may have a good one. Just remember these rigs have a guarantee so it should be covered. Just be cautious of any hot air and long delays. So far, the reports here and elsewhere are NOT favorable for dealers and their techs.
