convert to led turn signals

Since we're holed up in our house and it's snowing outside today...I thought I'd start working on my scoot and doing the led turn signal upgrade. I did it on my motorcycle and it was easy..many sites offered specific led flasher relays for the Ninja 300. The led bulbs are also way brighter and very cool looking. I also did my tail / brake light and that was a huge improvement, too.

So on to the People S 200. I found the flasher relay behind the front cover and the bulbs won't be a problem (they are different for the front and the rear, though). The thing I'm having trouble with is getting the correct led flasher relay.

I can easily find a replacement 3 pin connector relay for the incandescent bulbs but am not having luck finding an led flasher relay with the same 3 pin connection. Is our flasher relay a generic GY6 type that is common to Chinese scooters?

It would seem that the aftermarket would be flooded with cheap led flashers to fit this situation but I'm not having luck with any searches.

I I can't find a 'plug and play' relay do I get something like this and just cut off the old connector and wire this in?

OK..so I ended up ordering an led flasher relay with 3 wires to connect to our 3 wire harness coming from the scoot. I also found my led amber turn signal bulbs on superbrightleds.com. They are the same ones that I installed on my motorcycle last year and they are crazy bright! I also installed an led tail/brake light on both motorcycle and scooter last year and it is probably at least 2x as bright as the standard bulb..a very nice an inexpensive mod that requires nothing more than replacing a bulb.

For some reason Amazon listed all orders as arriving on April 21...and I can’t wait that long so sourced my parts elsewhere.
Everything should be here within 5-7 days so I’ll update once I get the new flasher relay and turn signal bulbs installed.

It's been a long time now but I distinctly remember swapping three pin units out for generic two pins units, but I can't remember what the third pin was supposed to do now. Perhaps it was a ground?

I wish I could remember more! Have you got the single turn lamp on the dash? A lot of people get caught out by that, but it can be navigated around by using a pair of diodes
