Growing up I enjoyed these shows and even today watch them occasionally.  Seen they are going to make the Twilight Zone again. Did you enjoy these shows growing up? What was your favorite episode?

love the original Twilight Zone episodes..Sy Fy channel on cable does Twilight Zone marathons a few times each year..

I can only watch about 3 or 4 episodes in a row before i need to take a break...they are so dark and dystopic that I need a little breather after a bit!

Favorites? wow..so many...

William Shatner on the plane with the 'gremlin' on the wing
Burgess Meredith as the man who wants to be left alone to read and survives the nuclear blast only to lose his glasses
Charles Bronson and Elizabeth McGovern as 2 enemy fighters as survivors of war..learn to trust each other and work together
the one where people are leaving their planet due to war and destruction...and they find earth
the one where the woman (same actress who played Ellie on Bev Hillbillies) was beautiful but everyone else had pig noses.

Monsters on Maple Steet..power goes out and the neighbors all turn on each other..that's a classic

that show is a case study of the fears and neuroses of America in the late 50's, early 60's...

The also delt with social issues as well . The one where the state says a librarian is obsolete, very poignant now with one group not allowing any debate without shouting them down.   Yes Twilight zone delt with more then fears and neuroses and tackled social issues as well.  How about the racist that was sent back in time as a Jew in Nazi Germany.
