Doors for UXV 450
« on: July 21, 2020, 12:05:02 AM »
Does anyone know of anyone currently making aftermarket doors for the 450? Off-Road Armor used to, but I reached out to Kurt recently and he said he's discontinued that product due to lack of sales, with no plans to make any more. He actually had one door left and offered to sell it to me cheap, but unfortunately, one door doesn't do me a whole lot of good.

Online searches haven't yielded any results for me, and as far as I know, there is currently no option for replacing the factory nets with something more substantial.

Please note, I am NOT looking for soft doors. I am looking for hinged steel doors along the lines of what Kurt had been offering.

I liked Kurts stuff, but not sure why anyone wants or needs doorson their 450i.  I use soft doors in the winter to keep cold out, but once the weather breaks, I want the open air.  With an enclosure the cab noise is very loud and it can get quite warm inside unless it is cold outside.  I find it a much quieter ride with things opened up. I guess to each his own but I like the ability to get in and out quickly even wearing the seatbelts.

I honestly can't recall, but I'd imagine he still has it. Shoot him an email.

Great minds must think alike. Just last evening, I removed the soft doors from my unit. I actually think it looks better without them, and I agree with you about being able to get in and out easily.

As for Kurt's doors, they were half doors that have perforated steel panels. So, they would not have really restricted airflow too much, but they would provide some added security and they looked really sharp. Here's a link to what they look like if you are interested in seeing a photo. I still wish he made them...
