Going to try Givi Windshield for my 2019 XTown 300i
« on: July 29, 2020, 12:32:21 PM »
After 11 new maxi scooters and over 400,000 miles with them, and always not good experience with air management....simple term, YOUR NOSE IS TOO FAR FROM TIP OF SHIELD! Best windshield performance, Honda 600 SilverWing with Givi Adjustable shield ( had 2 new SilverWings, over 90,000 miles with these bikes and windshields)  My current XTown 300i with Puig Touring shield, cut down 4 inches and sometimes Laminar Lip....still a lot of air banging around ears----same with different helmets.

My base line performance for air management/comfort on bikes//scooters----#1 BMW air cooled twin with German Heinrich uppers and lowers  #2 Harley Big Twin with winter shield kit and tin legshields   #3 Vespa PX 200E with American made shield offered when bike was new.  All of these offered reasonable air management and comfort in all kinds of weather

So point here for me:  If another $1200 bonus comes thru---will spend $200 or so of it on Givi shield for the XTown-----at 81 probably my last attempt at obtaining all day comfort on Maxi Scooter.  Givi may require getting out the saw to provide safe look over!   Stay tuned.
