LIKE200i, town, moon & Mars - update
« on: October 02, 2020, 01:59:41 PM »
Stopped downtown to take a snap of the moon....except wasn't very obvious which one it was.

Tables with umbrellas in the traffic island are a nice place to enjoy a coffee from Un Mundo's.

Moon was easy to spot here....just outside my destination village. Love that star! (little light on my seat is from the battery heated glove liners)

Hope you could get a look at the sky tonight (Friday)....it seems that Mars will not be this bright in October for another 15 years....and is converging with the moon around midnight.

We had some thin cloud cover - but both the Moon and Mars were clearly visible.
Pretty cool.
Perhaps that was Mars, as well, in my morning photo yesterday?

I only became of this a few years ago...that what I thought were very bright 'stars' in the sky are many times other planets!

they appear bigger and brighter than most everything else in the sky...planets!...cool.
