I recently bought this used four wheeler. It ran great, never skipped a beat until it didn’t. My kid ran it threw a mud puddle and it quit running completely. When I hit the starter the engine was spinning like it had lost compression. So when I took the engine out and tore into the top end the exhaust valve to the rocker arm had zero play. I adjusted it to .006 play like the Manuel says. I got back some compression but only 40ish psi. When I took the cylinder head off the combustion chamber was carboned up pretty bad. I took the valves apart and cleaned everything. The valve seats didn’t look terrible. Ended up pulling the jug just to inspect the piston and the middle ring one the piston was not moving freely.
I want to buy a complete top end and be done with it but I’m having a hard time finding the parts. The g6y engine has so many makes and models. Can anyone point me to he right direction? Thank you
