Well rain and freezing temps are not a good mix. Last year I rode in a major rainstorm which was followed by well below freezing temperatures that night and the next day.
Water got into the throttle grip and froze overnight so when I rode the next morning the grip wouldn't return to idle automatically and I had to manually twist the throttle back down each time I wanted to slow down.
Fun times.
