Upgrading suspension (or fork oil)?
« on: October 08, 2020, 04:07:25 PM »
Hi All,

I recently got my derestricted 2006 Super 9 LC 2T up and running.  I rode her back to back with my friend's Aprilia SR50, and I must say that I prefer the stiffer suspension of the SR50.  Are there any tips to stiffen up the suspension (perhaps changing the fork oil or springs)?   Also, the service manual mentions to adjust the steering head bearing if there is play in the handlebar.  Does anyone know how to perform this adjustment (or where the steering head bearing is)? TIA!

Another source of handlebar play is the set screw/bolt which secures the handlebar to the steering stem.
