Temps during MY cruising times are set to get well below freezing for awhile.
Swung by the Bates family home to offer a Holiday Greeting. No one answered the door.
Found some Xmas lights....*
Then, taking advantage of the 40 degree temps, swung by the reservoir....before the cold sunrises set in.

* Arriving in town well before sunrise has allowed me to enjoy forming relationships with a number of street people over the years. And it has taken years for some of them to get comfortable with this scooter nut who rides into town in the dark - all weathers - and who camps outdoors on the sidewalk, or their Group W bench!.
This morning, while I was taking the Xmas tree pics, one such friend approached me out of the dark, "Tom, this is for you."....handing me a Boston Red Sox hat. Very,
very well used.
He'd found it and saved it for me ---- knowing I am a fan.
I was truly touched by his thoughtfulness.....and, as my daughter noted, impressed by his ability to put the whole project together, mentally.
I think I'm going to look into Xmas gift coupons from the village grocer for a few of these folks. When I do see them eating - it is too often a lot of junk food, or something scavenged from who-knows-where.
