Confirm .004 inches saved the bell. My Kymco with 900KM started stalling after about 5 minutes of running when hot. After cooling it started and ran well until stalling again when hot. Problem seems to be the shop manual and everyone else says valve clearance should be 004 mm. Wrong!!! A Kymco manual I have says .012mm or 004 inches in the front section and then .004mm in the valve adjustment section. Who writes these manuals? You guys are correct. .012mm or .004 inches solves the problem of valves heating up and closing the gap on the .004 mm to starve the engine. Why is this so hard to find? So many many people have this same stalling problem and like me, clean the carb, change the fuel filter, check the auto bystander, change the CDI, etc. etc. If Kymco would only publish correct data, I bet most of these people would not have that problem.
