NSR: The Greatest Beer Run Ever
« on: February 21, 2021, 01:39:39 AM »
A different kind of Vietnam war story.....
The book is called, "The Greatest Beer Run Ever"
A little back-story: At a bar in Manhattan in the 1960's some patrons were discussing the poor treatment some of their Vietnam veteran friends, alive or killed, were receiving from peace protestors.
The bartender said somebody should take our buddies over there a beer and let them know that they are appreciated & not forgotten.
Chick Donohue said, "I'll do it."
The book is about his search during the war, as a civilian, for 6 of his neighborhood buddies serving in Vietnam.
Apparently it is "soon to be a major motion picture."
