X-Town 300i Range
« on: March 17, 2021, 01:26:34 PM »
Curious, so a question to other X-Town riders out there, what's the usual fuel range that you get from a tank full with your scooter?  I routinely start getting twitchy at about 170 miles and the most I've ever got from a tank full is 200 miles and by goodness was I sweating it!

Last fill up was 187 miles and I squeezed 11.24 litres in meaning theoretically, I still had over a litre still in there?
Regards & ride safe,

Several including yours truly have carried a small gas can for a while to figure emperically the ranges to reserve and flame-out. The DT300i is a SOLID 200 miles to reserve, summer or winter gasoline, ethanol or not. Even made it to 230 miles to "chickened-out" which was before flame-out! Even then there was .4 (four tenths) gallon still in the tank!

Thanks Karl, I have a little half-litre fuel container so I might just conduct a few experimental runs myself.  I think your Downtown 300 has a few more cc's than my X-Tomn (276cc) if I remember right?

298 cc memory serves...that is like Honda usta did: very close. Then the 200i series shattered reality.
