Kymco's Are Selling Here...
« on: June 19, 2008, 02:19:51 PM »
In Austin, Texas. My local dealer is one happy camper. I stopped by yesterday and the showroom floor that is normally full to overflow with scooters is EMPTY! Just one poor, lonely pea green People 150 left. I felt so sorry for it, but than I feel sorry for the Christmas trees that don't get picked. I'll bet it finds a home soon.

Those of us who were into scooters before the soaring gas prices used to be the "weirdos". Now we're the avant-garde. :D

haha, yeah, lots of people talking about scooters right now.  My dad wants one!  We have been trying to get him on 2 wheels forever.

If scooters truely become "cool", mainstream cool that is, I think it will be great for the powersports world in the US.  Should increase motorcycle sales down the road as some people will want to go to motorcycles or add one to the garage.  Hopefully more people will start on scooters and riders will be more experienced when they get on thier new R1.

Good times!

Yeah, I was out in Austin a few weeks back and the store was picked clean. Our dealership here in Birmingham is having the same "problem". ;D

Glad I picked up mine just before the rush-- it's definitely a seller's market now.

Hello,

Old Guy, where are you located in Austin. I am in Pflugerville. I picked up a Kymco Super 9 about 4 months ago. I am sure we got ours from the same dealer. I cant complain I got great service there. But your right since I picked my S9 up I have been back several times and they are completely empty on the scooter side. I was thinking about getting a GV250 and they were sold out. So I am just going to wait awhile. Anyway it would be nice to talk with others from the Austin area.

Thanks
Lee
