Just wanted to Hi! and I look forward to lurking around these threads for time while I'm (hopefully) enjoying by AK550.
I'm rider, mod'er and weekend mechanic. I enjoy working/modifying by rides probably almost as much as I do riding them.
I've owned the following the rides over the years.
* Suzuki Intruder 800 (custom self painted, added a aux tank, oh the lights, darksided the rear, custom exhaust made from the shell of the original, swapped out the final gear with a VS1400, stereo, and finally replaced and installed a vstar gas tank)
* Honda shadow spirit (darksided, chromed and added a NFC starter (homemade keyless starter).
* Vulcan 900 (darksided, stereo, home made made front shield and home made heated seat).
* Honda VTX 1800c (darksided, stereo, swapped the final gear with a 1300, custom self painted, aux gas tank, modified corba slash exhaust, power commander and custom mapping, usb chargers (front and back ports) and again on the lighting)
* Random no name scoots, no heaving modding here. just the basics (sliders, exhaust, lights, etc etc)
I'm looking forward to starting work on my AK as soon as I get it.
* First is removing those awful reflectors from everywhere
* Second is a paint job, I'm thinking Blue with metallic flake.
* Modding the seat to two heating pads and controlls
* lighting !!
* After the first tire is done, darksiding
* Making folding floor board for the passenger
