Exhaust issue. Have you ever seen this before? Fix???
« on: May 07, 2021, 11:53:58 PM »
Installed a new leo vince exhaust on my agility 50. Love the performance and the sound. Only problem that I have come across is that the way the header pipe/muffler connection is situated puts it right in front of/on top of the oil change/dipstick. In order to change the oil, I will need to drop the exhaust, which isn't a huge deal(3 bolts) but a pain in the ass. Any thoughts or suggestions on this? Thanks guys!

I think you mean you'll have problems 'checking' your oil, not changing, correct? Either way, you can't block your dip stick. You'll need to adjust how your exhaust is mounted so you can access the dipstick.

If you can get your dipstick out of there you can find a funnel with a Z bend in it that can work in those tight spots. either that or get a funnel with a flexible hose to feed it in the oil fill hole.

Can really unscrew the dip stick to get it out. It's appears to be too close. I dunno. Was thinking about cutting the front tube part (header) off of the stock muffler and mounting the Leo Vince muffler to that as it is routed below the dip stick. Thoughts?

I think you'll know better than any of us how you'll need to route your exhaust to gain access to the dipstick / fill hole. I have a Leo Vince on my motorcycle and love it..bet it sounds good on your scoot!

Ive found it easier to remove the two mounting bolts for the cannister and slipping it off to check oil. And i never replaced the spring that is supposed to ho!d it on either.

There's likely 1000 scooter models that use this same Leo Vince exhaust, every one of them different.  Most installations require some cut & welding in order to finish the installation properly.

Running the exhaust on stock carb (main jet) and airbox?
