Stinking LIKE200i
« on: May 19, 2021, 06:32:04 PM »
Was thinking this morning as I rolled my LIKE200i onto the drive, started it and walked behind it to go back into the garage ......that this is an impressively stinky scooter!
It takes only seconds for this scooter to blow back exhaust fumes and stink up the garage. Smells like the Lincoln Tunnel (or Los Angeles in 1967) in there.

Thinking along those lines - I watched tailgaters fall back 4 out of 5 times this morning :)

It's nothing new - I thought the same thing years ago when it was new.
Maybe that's why it was discontinued this year? Couldn't pass Euro specs?

Scooter continues to run like a top - instant starts and quickly falls into a smooth idle. 18,000 miles.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Yet when it was introduced back in 2009 it easily passed the California clean air standards. I guess times and regs change.

I would (guess) it's a oxygen additive to the gas to support clean combustion.
In parts 200S and Grand Vista and my motorcycles 2 CS BMW'S and one GS BMW.

Sold-32 Kymco scooters of various sizes this summer.
