Electric Scooter Convert
« on: June 20, 2021, 01:34:13 AM »
After riding this for over 700km, I'm thoroughly converted to electric.  I have 2 others on order. One is the same as this, diff. color and the other is a vespa style.
Really like the idea of not getting my lungs skunked, no more gas, oil changes, spark plugs.

Found an el cheapo action cam that I modified to attach with magnets. That'll allow me to move it from one bike to another easily.  Probably going to sell the other one like this to offset the cost of the vespa style scooter.

What’s the real world range on this one then?  I love the idea of an electric scooter (eg the Vespa Elettrica), but a 70 mile range and capped 45 mph top speed have put me off so far.
Regards & ride safe,
Neil

50-60 Km is the range on the 1500 watt version. I imagine this one (3000 watt) is higher. I usually stop at 50km bc my driveway is steep and I've already pushed it up once , after removing the battery of course;  and top speed on this one is 70km. I can't seem to find the hack to change the display over to miles. Does not bother me that much, but I can see it there on start up... lolz

The pollution was the biggest thing for me.  I can ride this for an hour and get a larger buzz than what I was getting from gas & that was zero at my age, 62. I like the free recharges from my solar panels.

I spend a great deal of time on it standing. It's so much fun.  8) The mirrors actually set up perfectly on this, unlike my like 200I and the kick stand actually cuts off the motor. . Quality is very good.   Of course one can buy extra batteries.  May keep the extra scoot I bought for that reason.
